The New Inquisition
Child Abuse And Neglect
Violence against children has been in recent years linked to violence against women. This link has come about solely as the result of posturing to gain political power and attain funds for domestic violence shelters. Read the literature pumped out in vast quantities by the "domestic violence" industry, an industry which now includes the Federal and State Governments, the United Way and various other charitable organizations that have swallowed the hook, line and sinker. Children are removed like property and kept from fathers because " he just might someday be violent and abuse someone and because men are abusers"
In reality, violence against children is perpetrated by both men and women. We can see from U.S. Dept Of Health And Human Services Statistics, that with the exception of sexual abuse, violence and abuse by mothers is higher from mothers and women than fathers and men. In addition, moderate or severe in injury is more often the result of abuse from women than from men. The death of children from violence is largely the result of abuse from women than from men. Politically it is expedient to ignore all but the most severe cases of abuse instigated by women, but to have mandatory charging of men. When women do kill children, it is often not something were charges are laid, or called "neglect" or "manslaughter", not murder. This shows up in arrest statistics very strongly.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services produced a report entitled Child Maltreatments 1996: Reports From the States To the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System. This is a summary of information from 1996 provided by child protective service agencies in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the Armed Services. The study looked at people who are in, or potentially in, a caretaker roll.
The statistics indicate the approximately 77% of the perpetrators of child abuse and neglect were care giver parents. A further 11% were relatives of the victims, and 12% were not related to the child. The study also breaks down the type of maltreatment by the sex of the perpetrator, and the following table is extracted from the study:

As can be seen from this report, there is only one category that has a higher level of male perpetrators (sexual abuse) In all other categories, the female perpetrators are more common than males ones - a female is about 25% more likely to physically abuse children than a male. Over all, a women is about 50% more likely than a man to neglect or abuse children.
Feminist's and domestic abuse prevention
advocates, when confronted with these statistics will say because
women are caretakers of children more than men, they have more
opportunity to abuse. In fact one study was done trying to correlate
the time a man spends with children, compared to the amount of time
women do. This supposedly showed
by actual time spent men abused more. This
is like saying because men are physically stronger than women of
course they abuse women more. Either way this is no excuse.
